How should I prepare for my hair trial and wedding day?
It is important to have your hair in a good condition. Having your hair trimmed beforehand and using good quality treatments, especially if your hair is coloured, is recommended. I also recommend using Redken or Organic Colour Systems.
On the day please wash your hair once in the morning if it is being worn half up or down, or on the day before if you are wearing it up. Please do not use conditioner, products or straightening irons. Arrive with your hair rough dried. If you would like it blow dried please inform us beforehand as this incurs an extra cost. If you have very curly hair we will discuss this with you in advance.
If you have any hair accessories and a veil it will be helpful to bring them along to the trial so we can see how it all works together. We also have hair accessories that you can try out, which may be purchased.
Pinterest is a great way of gathering ideas for wedding hairstyles, or you can bring some photos along to your consultation. It is also useful if you let us see a photo of your dress. This helps us to create a style that fits in with the dress and your theme. We also advise you to wear your hairstyle for an hour or so after the hair trial to get used to how it feels and take some photos.
Can I have a
hair trial and makeup trial at the same time?
We prefer to do the hair trial separately from the make up trial, but we understand if you have limited time or don’t live locally it’s easier to do both at the same time. A maximum of two people can be seen for a single hair trial (including the bride). The bridal trial takes up to two hours so please make sure your makeup artist is aware of this so enough time is allowed to get everything done. Hair trials are held at WR14 2UL or WR2 4BS, extra travel costs are charged if you want us to travel to either your address or the makeup artists.
Can I have my hair preparation at a separate location to my wedding venue?
If we are required to attend two separate locations on the wedding day there is an additional fee of £15.00. This covers our time and travel costs for travel within half an hour of the venue.
If travel is more than half an hour you will be charged an additional 50p per mile.
